I just finished conducting my workshop over the last 2 weeks. The feeling I get after conducting these two workshops is exhilarating and I can’t wait to get started on the next one.
There were a total of 56 participants from all walks of life. You can imagine different kinds of people you will meet, both young and mature, all with their own agendas waiting to get started with their Internet marketing business.
Despite their differences, I’m sure there was one thing everyone has in common – they want to make it big online and achieve financial freedom.
However, the workshop had several challenges and one of the biggest obstacles I’ve seen so far is the confusion from listening to too many people at once.
This is unfortunate because they absorb information from too many sources and even good, legitimate sources can also lead to confusion as the business direction and focus are all different.
For me, my philosophy is very straightforward – making money online is really quite simple.
All you need to do is follow the mentor you have chosen and follow him closely – just do exactly what he tells you to do and follow it to the letter.
You don’t want to learn from too many different mentors – one is enough! Can you imagine if one marketer tells you to do AdSense, while another tells you to build a list and ignore search engine optimization?
Or if one tells you to spend money on AdWords while another tells you to stay away from paid advertising and focus on free traffic?
I think we get the idea – the amount of chaos when you jump from one business model to another.
You have to remember one thing at the end of the day, focus really pays off. You can take one step in every direction but you will only wind up in the same spot.
On the other hand, by following a single mentor, he or she will lead you by the hand, step by step towards the ultimate goal of success.
Even if you take slow baby steps, at least you are focusing on ONE direction and you will get there eventually.
