Innovation at Google is a key value, and the company's Human Resources department has an important contribution to the materialization of this value. This is manifested by the strict and unique recruitment and screening processes of creative talents, listening to employees through an annual satisfaction survey, and encouraging a culture of independent thinking about innovation.

20%  Policy

The company invests greatly in encouraging its employees to be innovative and creative. The company encourages entrepreneurship and invests resources to support them. One of the mechanisms of encouraging innovativeness is the 20% policy. According to this rule, employees are allowed to invest 20% of their time in developing innovation, while working on their own projects, on their own initiative

Google's workers satisfaction

The company's culture is based to a considerable extent on listening to the workers, with a real intent to adopt their opinions in the company's various processes. Every employee can take part and influence the major decision making process, i.e the recruitment process. The company is looking for employees who can perform a variety of roles – multi-purpose.  While screening candidates for development positions, for example, Google is looking for versatile people who can be moved from place to place. The potential that is stored within the human capital is a very important criterion in the candidate screening process..

The company does not use screening tools known to the Human Resource community, such as tests developed by various institutes. The main instrument that influences the decision whether to recruit a candidate is an interview carried out by the company's experienced workers.
